THE SPE TEAM
LYNN WHITING - Trainer
Internationally trained Lynn has trained and produced horses from unbroken through to advanced. Along with training the SPE riders full time Lynn also has her hands full as a mother of four. Leaving the UK to raise her children in a safer New Zealand meant leaving behind Woodside farm a property Lynn and her parents Margaret and Derek Whiting started from scratch. With an Indoor and outdoor arena full Cross Country and huge stable complex they truly did leave what most equestrians dream for. Woodside Equestrian centre has now been sold.
Lynn was the first person in England to send her Stallion to be performance tested in Germany. Lynn Team chased and Show Jumped with success before turning to dressage after a back injury. Training with many top riders two always stand out. Olympic Dressage Gold Medalist Rosemary Springer and Spanish Classical Dressage Master Joaquin Rodriguez. Lynn became known for her soft hands and the ability to ride anything.
Lynn Instructs at local Pony Clubs along with giving private lessons to riders of all levels and ages.
LANA WHITING - Rider
Lana is a full time Osteopathy Student and juggles her own Equestrian needs, schooling and breaking alongside helping Lynn with the Breeding side of things. Lana has taken on riding SP Blue Eyed Ghost, the two of them are a great combination.
FREYA WHITING - Groom/Photographer/Rider
The youngest Whiting of the family shows an excellent eye for equestrian photography and has usually done everything before even being asked when at shows.Her sensibility and quick actions make her an important member of the SPE team.Freya has recently taken up riding SP Beauty.
LEN - Farrier
A farrier who doesn't lie but instead is upfront with you doesn't usually exsist. How ever we managed to catch one and he never lets us down!
